Monday 3/11

Drama 1st period:
Review Chapter 4 Improvisation. Review and rehearse new skits, "The Bus Stop". Perform today.

Language Arts 2nd and 5th period:
Review Poetry. Collect and review student poems. Begin 2nd free verse poems. Complete for homework.

Social Studies 3rd and 6th period:
Review social studies books pages 266-271. Complete reveiew questions 2-7 p. 271 in class. If students do not finish assignment in class they must complete the remaining questions at home.

Tuesday 3/12

Drama 1st period:
Rehearse and perform revised Bus Driver skits. Read and review Drama books chapter 4 on Improvisation. . Begin new skits titled, "The Soap Opera", if time permits.

Language Arts 2nd and 5th period:
2nd Free Verse poems are due. Mirror Test today for CA CST's. This is a practice test to measure students abilities thus far in the year. No homework today.

Social Studies 3rd and 6th period:
Read and review pages 266-271. Correct and collect review questions p. 271 2-7  from group work. All students are responsible for turning in their own answers. Homework: Students will have a take home quiz which will be started in class after correcting review questions. Quiz will cover material covered on pages 266-271.

Wednesday 3/13

Drama 1st period:
Discuss, rehearse and perform "The Soap Opera", skits if time permits. Begin Ch 4 Improvisation Activity worksheets while revising your soap operas.

Langauge Arts 2nd and 5th period:
Students will work to complete CST Mirror Tests. If students cannot complete Mirror Tests, students may have additional time on Thursday to complete the test.
Homework: Students will read the poem, "Why the Caged Bird Sings", and complete a Question Log handout for the poem - Questions only, no answers are required.

Social Studies 3rd and 6th period:
Correcta nd collect take home quiz for Ch 8 Lesson 3 pages 266-271. Read and review pages 276-280 in class. Begin Chapter 8 Ancient China Reteach Activity worksheet.
Homework: Complete Ancient China Reteach Activity worksheet.

Thursday 3/14

Drama 1st period:
Complete Improvisation Activity worksheet. Begin rehearsing revised "Soap Opera" skits. Perform final soap opera if time permits.

Language Arts 2nd and 5th period:
Review"Why the Caged Bird Sings", with Question Log worksheets. Discuss poetry, meter and rhyme. Introduce simile and metaphor. Begin Simile and Metaphor activity worksheet in class.
Homework: Complete Simile and Metaphor activity worksheet.

Social Studies 3rd and 6th period:
Correct and collect Ch. 8 Ancient China Reteach activity worksheet. Review for Ancient China Test tomorrow. Students will take notes for test today in class and may use one piece of notebook paper with notes on the test.
Homework: Study for Chapter 8 Ancient China Test.

Friday 3/15

Drama 1st period:
Complete final performances of "Soap Opera" skits. Begin "King, Queen, Murderer", skits with voice and dialogue. Rehearse and perform.

Language Arts 2nd and 5th period:
Review and collect Simile and Metaphor activity worksheet. Begin Simile and Metaphor poems using shapes, and animals. All students will complete in class on Monday.

Social Studies 3rd and 6th period:
Chapter 8 Ancient China Test today. After test begin reading Chapter 11 in social studies books on Ancient Greece.
