Students will finish Chapter 8 Ensemble worksheet. Students will revise, and rehearse their murder mystery skits. Students will perform if time permits.
Language Arts 2nd and 5th period
Students will complete their Persuasive posters and Persuasive reasoning handout. Students will turn in their work today. Students will begin their persuasive essay in class regarding bullying. No homework.
Social Studies 3rd and 6th period
Students will read and complete handout on the origins of Rome. Whatever is not completed in class will be completed for homework.
Tuesday 5/21
Drama 1st period
Students will perform their murder mystery skits. Students will continue to perform for the remainder of the period.

Students will begin Brainstorm Bubble assignments. Students will brainstorm ideas for their essay assignment and they will choose a side. The topic is, "Bullying is or is not a major problem at James Workman Middle School". Students will begin Brainstorm Bubble in class and complete for homework.
Social Studies 3rd and 6th period
Students correct and collect origins of Rome handout. Students will read and review pages 428-433 in social studies books. No homework

Students will review Ensemble work. Due to time constraints on Tuesday. Students will begin performing their revised skits today.
Language Arts 2nd and 5th period
Students will review Bubble Brainstorm assignment and discuss reasons to support their topic. Students will review thesis statements and introduction paragraphs in class. Students will complete introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs for homework. Students should have a total of four paragraphs to form the body of their rough drafts.
Social Studies 3rd and 6th period
Due to time constraints students will correct and collect the origins of Rome handout today in class. Homework read pages 436-441 in social studies book

Ancient Greece test today - Chapter 11.
Due to the testing schedule this week chapter 11 test may be postponed until Tuesday May 14th to give students time to review. Students may be given a study guide worksheet which we will begin today and complete on Monday as a class in order to review. If time allows the review study guide may be handed out on Thursday instead.
